Rabbi Akiva preached: "Thanks to the righteous women (entrepreneurs and leaders) who lived in that generation, the Israelites were redeemed from Egypt."
The words of Rabbi Akiva teach us of the great role played by many women, throughout the history of the Jewish people.
It is an honor and a privilege to tell the story of the heroines that saved us from slavery in Egypt:
Shifra and Pooah - the midwives, Yocheved 0 the biological mother of Moses and his wet nurse, Miriam - the sister of Moses, Pharaoh´s daughter (Batya) - the brave adopting mother of Moses, and Zipporah - the wife of Moses.
"The New Family Haggadah" is the well known traditional Haggadah, interwoven with many stories about the role women played in the miracles of Passover, as told by our Sages of Blessed Memory, by Chasidim, and by Kabalistic Rabbis.
